Project Waves Announces Leadership Transition
August, 2021
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Musgrave as Director of Project Waves. After several months serving as Interim Director, Sam is excited to continue serving Project Waves members and collaborating with a diverse group of partners across Baltimore as we continue to narrow the Digital Divide.
“The Digital Divide is one of the most pressing human rights issues this generation is facing. Serving nearly 400 households using the Project Waves network has been one of the greatest honors of my career. As we continue to expand, I look forward to leading our work through a lens of equity, collaboration and continuous learning.”
Sam joined the Project Waves team in July, 2020 as Head of Operations during a period of rapid growth. After more than a decade of non-profit service holding roles in IT support, operations, development and marketing, Sam is well-positioned to continue supporting Project Waves’ growth with a focus on capacity-building and long-term sustainability.
With excitement and an eye toward the future of connectivity in Baltimore, Project Waves Founder Adam Bouhmad, has been appointed to serve as the Chair of the inaugural Project Waves Board of Advisors. This moment represents a new chapter for Project Waves as an organization and for the communities we serve.
“The issue of digital disconnectivity in Baltimore has been apparent for over two decades. Internet connectivity affords the ability to have access to an education, access to job opportunities, and the ability to socialize & play. Access to the internet in the digital age is a right that everyone deserves, and I’m humbled to continue my work in advocating for change right here in Baltimore, as well as across the country.”
In his position as chair of the inaugural advisory board, Adam will continue to nurture and advise the vision and expansion of Project Waves and to support the team as the network grows.
